Secures $29M Verdict for Injured Bicyclist: Highest in PA History

We are truly honored to have played a role in this historic case, helping to secure justice for a man whose life was forever changed by a devastating accident.

In a groundbreaking verdict, a $29 million award was secured for a Pennsylvania man severely injured in a trucking accident.

The plaintiff, a former VA nurse, was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a plumber’s truck. The collision threw him 25 feet, resulting in traumatic brain injury, blunt chest and abdominal trauma, and the loss of his spleen. After a two-week coma, he now requires lifelong care in a long-term facility.

Despite a $500,000 settlement offer from the defendant’s insurance company — far below what the case deserved — the legal team chose to take the case to trial. The challenge was to present the complex medical details of the injuries and their long-term impact in a way that would resonate with the jury.

That’s where we came in.

We created highly detailed animations that visualized the medical complexities and the severe long-term effects of the plaintiff’s injuries. These animations helped the jury fully grasp the scope of the injuries and the plaintiff’s future care needs, making it clear how life-altering the accident had been.

The result? The jury awarded the plaintiff $29,045,285, the largest motor vehicle verdict in Pennsylvania history — ensuring the plaintiff will receive the care and support he needs for the rest of his life.

This case is a powerful example of how visual storytelling can make all the difference in securing justice!
